Actions are steps in a Zap that do something after your trigger fires—for example, creating or updating records in another app.

What Botdog actions do

The Botdog Zapier integration is built to help you add leads to Botdog campaigns from a Zap. That lets you connect CRMs, spreadsheets, forms, and other tools so new contacts flow into outreach without manual CSV uploads.

Current supported action

The live integration currently exposes Add Contact to a Campaign as the core Botdog action. Common inputs in Zapier include:
  • Required: Campaign, LinkedIn URL
  • Optional: Name, Job Title, Company, Location, Custom Attributes

Source of truth

For the current action list, required fields, and any updates, use Botdog on Zapier.

When an action is not enough

If you need behavior that the Zapier app does not expose yet:
  • Use Webhooks by Zapier or a small backend that calls the Botdog HTTP API.
  • Use the API Reference tab for request and response schemas.
Start with Quick start for authenticated examples (list campaigns, add leads, analytics). Authentication uses the same API keys as Zapier; see Zapier App Authentication.
